# sharedraft

> Online collaborative editor for writing LaTeX and Typst documents together (papers, theses, reports): real-time editing, instant preview, annotated review right on the rendered page. Beta software; experimental hosting in France.

The application interface is available in English and French: switch with the FR | EN buttons in the account menu or on the login screen, or add `?lang=en` or `?lang=fr` to an app URL (for example https://sharedraft.scholartools.fr/app/?lang=en). Without an explicit choice, the app follows the browser language.

## Features

- Several people editing the same file in real time, with no conflicts to resolve.
- LaTeX (pdfLaTeX, XeLaTeX, LuaLaTeX, compiled on the server) and Typst (near-instant preview).
- Import a zip archive (Overleaf exports included) or a git repository.
- Threaded comments on the source or on the output; handwritten annotations in the margin (marked-up copy), anchored to the source text.
- Track changes (insertions underlined, deletions struck through, to accept or reject).
- Versions, comparison (latexdiff for LaTeX), git synchronization.
- Per-project sharing with roles: owner, editor, reviewer, reader.

- Both projects are shared by all visitors and reset every 20 minutes; the sample paper is written in French. They open in a browser with JavaScript; they are not meant to be read or edited by bots.

## Hosting and data

- Instance hosted in France (Scaleway), offered on an experimental basis.
- Beta: no guarantee of availability or of retention of documents stored online; keep a copy of your projects.
- Private data: documents, comments and email addresses are not sold, transferred or distributed. No ads, no trackers, no third-party scripts.
- The code will be released under a free software license (MIT or Apache 2.0); it is not public yet.

Éditeur collaboratif en ligne pour rédiger à plusieurs des documents LaTeX et Typst (articles, thèses, rapports) : édition en temps réel, rendu immédiat, relecture annotée directement sur la page. Logiciel en version bêta ; hébergement expérimental en France (Scaleway).
